We met up with UK duo Jack Hamson Jr and Marcus Pepperell of Thumpers while visiting London in 2014. At the time, they had just signed with Sub Pop here in America, and were in the process of finalizing their debut album, "Galore," which was just released here in North America this week.
When we were deciding where to shoot, Hamson Jr mentioned to me that there were public pianos all throughout London. He thought St. Pancras Station would be a good meeting point for us and a great place to film.
I hopped on the tube from East London and found myself in the massively impressive station. I started rolling when the pair showed up, ready to play a minimalist version of "Marvel," the opening number on their freshly released album.
