We're a collective of friends living and working in Philadelphia. We create short films with local and touring artists and bands performing in different locations around the city. While we call Philadelphia home, we occasionally make a trip to another city. So lets hang out.

Sunday evening, I made my way over to Johnny Brenda’s to meet up with Jesse Merchant, otherwise known as JBM, before the show to record this here session. It was quite the treat for us as Jesse was super friendly and accommodating, and on top of that, his voice was unlike anything I’ve heard recently, both surprising and impressing me simultaneously.
He played for us a stripped down version of “Moonwatcher,” a song he noted that is usually accompanied by a band. It’s always nice to see how an artist will take a track of theirs, subtract the usual accompaniment, and literally transform it into something completely new.
With that, we present JBM and his version of “Moonwatcher,” a new song off of his brand new album “Stray Ashes,” which conveniently is out today(05/22) via Western Vinyl.
